My name is Ellis, I’m a 17 year old Army Cadet within Wiltshire ACF. I am a person who has a massive amount of enthusiasm to volunteer and help people that are less fortunate than myself. Although I am still young, that doesn’t mean
that I have not achieved many things in my life so far. I have achieved my Bronze DofE, and I am currently working on my Gold DofE. I have also completed both my Bronze and Silver iDEA awards, and I’m also taking on the Gold iDEA
award. When I was taking on my Bronze DofE, I started volunteering at my local Vitality parkrun, and since then I have become a valuable member of the core team there. Whilst I was the first DofE participant to volunteer at this
particular parkrun, I will not be the last, as during my time there I have seen so many DofE participants come there to complete their volunteering section, for Bronze and Silver.

I have always wanted to push myself beyond what I would normally do, but I have also always wanted to give something back to the community and do something for charity. In the past, I have pushed myself, but I now want to push myself
even further. Up until now, the hardest challenge was completing a 48 mile hike across Dartmoor National Park for Army Ten Tors 2023, where I represented Wiltshire ACF. Now I want to take this a step even further; not only am
I going to be cycling over 5 days, but I will also be cycling longer and harder than I have ever done before, all to raise awareness and money for ACCT UK.
